Hi,

Every so often my status bar in Outlook 2007 shows that it is sending 4
messages.

At these times, there are no messages in my Outbox to send and nothing gets
added to my Sent Items.

This has been going on for months, and I have scanned with several different
anti-spyware programs (including Live 1), which have found nothing.

Could this be the Customer Experience Improvement Program (which I have
turned off today), or am I infected with malware? Or what?

Nope, have now tried that solution.

No messages were found in any of my message stores. One of them had an
entry under Associated Messages (IPM.Microsoft.MigrationStatus), but no read
reciepts.

Do we need to worry?

See http://www.howto-outlook.com/howto/deletereadreceipt.htm

CEIP doesn't use emails to transfer the data and malware would raise a lot
of security prompts in Outlook or by your virus scanner.

What account type are you using?
You can turn on logging to see what is going on as well.

How do I turn on logging?

Thanks for your help so far.

Logging has been enabled, and the event happened again at 13:15 today.

Which log file and what should I look for.
