Status bar problem

When I open my IE browser using the Internet Explorer icon on the desktop,
the status bar automatically activates at the bottom of the browser window.
However, subsequent windows that I open with the File/New/Window command do
not display the status bar.

When that happens, I need to manually click View / Status bar, after which
the status bar appears. Is there a procedure to have the status bar
automatically appear whenever any new window is opened? Thanks.

Never mind. I learned from Microsoft's knowledge base that this is the way
Microsoft programmed IE 6 for Windows XP Home Edition (mine) and 5 other
operating systems. If you're experiencing the same and need or would like
the status bar, your ONLY action, it seems, is to click on View / Status
bar.
