Stationery and receiving mail

I just did a factory restore. Since then, two things happen. First, my
Microsoft Mail (Outlook Express) no longer automatically receives mail even
though I have it set to do so every minute. I have to manually click on
"receive" to get mail.

Second, I set up stationery and every time I send an email and someone
replies, their reply has a paragraph of what looks like Chinese at the bottom
of the reply.

Hi Gary;

Typo on the Microsoft Mail....meant Windows Mail. However, Windows Mail is
the replacement for Outlook Express which I have been running ever since I
got my laptop with Vista which has been a couple of years I think? Been
using Outlook Express for quite a few years and continued with the new system.

Neither of my questions were answered, however. Someone please help.

Now that you've clarified which email program you have, we can begin
the task of trying to help.

The underlying problem is that, over time, Windows Mail is very prone
to being corrupted by aggressive antivirus programs, the worst of those
being Norton, McAfee, and Trend Micro.

So, you have a choice of uninstalling your antivirus and replacing it
with one that is more compatible with Windows Mail, or else
upgrading to the email program that Microsoft has designated as the
replacement, Windows Live Mail.

Go to Tools | Options and check the box to check for new messages every x
minutes. Don't make it less than a minute.

Try sending yourself an email and replying and see if you get the same
effect. It could be specific to that person's email program.
