Hi All,

Is it possible to configure winXP ICS IP scope, as above
I have a network printer with a static IP (192.168.0.4)
the printer does not support DHCP and I can only resolve
the MAC/IP address (at this stage).

Cheers,

Lance

Hi, Lance -

I'm afraid Windows XP's DHCP scope is not configurable.

You can, however, do ICS with static IP addresses on the
workstations - if no workstation requests an IP address
there won't be any IP conflicts ;-)

Once you get all the client workstations talking, just
configure them to use a static IP on the same subnet, a
subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 and the gateway address will
be the LAN-side IP address of the ICS host.

Hope this helps -

It's OK to have static IP addresses with ICS. Before ICS tries to
assign an address, it makes sure that the address isn't in use.
