The hub is doing the routing... a hub is something more than a simple
network switch.

what model -brand is it?
I would need the brand and the model number so I can look it up

A hub is something LESS than a simple network switch. It has NO
intelligence in it at all.

A hub is even dumber than a switch. It only directs traffic...other than
that it does nothing else at all.

Hubs don't do any routing. Switched hubs do, but then they're usually called
a "switch". :)
