Static IP Address

Depends on how you mean that ? For your Internet/ISP a static
Address IP is a additional cost for most residential accounts. It's
usually a Dynamic Address that does change from time to time.

If you're referring to a LAN (Local Area Network) and you have
a Router you can certainly use a Static IP from the Routers range.

Most home based routers use a 192.168.x.x addressing range.
To specify a Static address, you modify the TCP/IP properties of
your LAC in Network Connections.
 
Without knowing your network or your setup, the answer is yes, will it work
with your setup, no way to tell as you didn't provide any info.
