I upgraded my system to xp last night, but it is not
working. At the very end when it finishes installation an
error message comes up and says there is not enough room
on the disc. Now I can't get back to c drive to clean
files and peograms off so it can fit. Anyone out there
got any ideas?

Did you format the drive? If you did, have you used the
NTFS? If you have not and the partition is still FAT32
then you can use a start up floppy to access the drive in
DOS. This is not going to be pretty, but it will allow
you to delete files etc. There is a utility you should
have used before the upgrade to check compatibility and
that woudl have told you that there would be a space
issue. It would have been a good idea to back up your
personal files as well before an upgrade, that way if
anything blows up you can format teh whole drive (which
is a good policy) and start fresh. If you have NTFS on
the drive you will need to go to bootdisk.com they have a
utility there that will allow you to read that drive from
a start up disk. The file is called readntfs.exe
