There are loads of things which appear as processes which
are not in the startup directory. One example is
Realevent (something to do with Realplayer). How can I
stop them from starting... if you see what i mean. I can
use Task Manager to stop processes but why should I have
to ?

start - run - msconfig

be VERY careful what you disable !!!

Find Realevent.exe and rename it .
