When i first turn on my computer it will go to a black screen before windows
starts. Sometimes it will start windows then turn black, sometimes blue and
on one occasion green. No messages come on the screen. If i then reboot the
computer sometimes it will start normally, and sometimes will show a screen
with options to start in safe mode or normally. Then it will work perfectly.
Any Idea what is going on.
The computer worked fine for about 14 months before this started happening.

Made any changes to your computer recently? Hardware or software? Any clues
as to why this may have started? We aren't genies here. (Although, to be
honest, if I was a genie I would be doing something else.)

I have installed quicktime, but apart from that, nothing. It did happen soon
after i defragmented the disk, but i have done this before with no problems.
Nothing had an immediate effect.
