Is there anything in XP that will stop programs from entering programs in
the startup of the computer. While using MSCONFIG is OK it is still a pain
in the butt to have to numerous computers.

Microsoft Anti-Spyware Beta has a feature that alerts you and asks you
to approve changes to the Startup. It's free, too :)
 
Hi,

One way is to always use a custom install routine, never accept defaults.
Often this option will be presented during setup and can be disabled before
it even starts.
