Startup Stalls

Just recently WinXP Pro SP2 has started to stall at Windows is Starting Up.
Reboot, chkdsk runs, Windows gets to the following error msg: " The system
could not log you on. Make sure your Username and Domain are correct, then
type in your password again..." I click OK and it brings me to my user
account. I type in my password and all is well. I also found an account I did
not create - I believe it was ASP.net and it was passworded. I clicked to
save the info just in case, but don't know where it went. System in all other
ways seems to be OK. How do I fix the Startup/Login problem?

Start | Run <type in> control userpasswords2 <enter>

You'll know what to do
