startup speaker noise

When the desktop first opens, I get three thumps from the
speakers, otherwize the speakers and system is fine. I
want to get rid of the thumps!!! Any ideas???
 
I had the same problem. I had to move my sound card to another slot ( I forgot which card it conflited with ). Try it!
