Startup sound stops abruptly

I created a .wav file to be played when windows starts.
The file is about 4 megs and lasts about 15 seconds.
When windows starts the .wav file always stops abruptly
before it finishes. Is there a way to get it to play
completely?

Hi,
Rather than the duration, the size of the file determines the playback
duration. Try to record the sound in a lower bitrate/quality and it will
play for a longer time.
