I am the only user of my desktop computer. Whenever I start XP, the process
stops at a screen asking you to select a user. Of course, I am the only one
listed. Is there a way to bypass this screen and go direct to my desktop?
Thanks in advance!

1. Go to Start/Run and type in: control userpasswords2 and press ok.

2. On the Users tab, clear the Users Must Enter A User Name And Password To
Use This Computer check box and then click OK.

3. In the Automatically Log On dialog box that appears, type the user name
and password for the account you want to be logged on each time you start
your computer.

At least two ways ..

1) Use TweakUIXP (free download from MS powertoys site)
2) Start, run, control userpasswords2

Both of these are documented twice a day, every day ..
try 'groups.google.com 'windows XP automate logon' or similar.
