Using MSCONFIG in Vista, I unchecked off programs not to start after booting
up the computer.
I receive a pop up about missing start up programs. How do I stop this pop
up notice ?

Before you unchecked start up programs you should know just what programs
they relate to. Open those programs and check the Options normally found in
the Tools menu. You will likely find a tick in the Start on Opening box or
something similar. This would have been a choice made on install.

i prefer to use windows defender to set my startup programs as msconfig will
always give you bubbles and i seem to remember something about msconfig was
not designed to manage startup programs in the way alot of people use it
..using defender does away with all those annoying bubbles at startup and
every 10 mins after
