I used to know how to make it so that xp doesn't run some
programs in start up, but i don't remember it anymore. It
was in Start>Run> and then i had to type something that
would bring up a menu where i can check or uncheck boxes
to enable or disable certain programs to run when
starting up. Can anyone help with what i have to type to
get that?

Start-Run-msconfig
.

Start/Run/type "msconfig" and then click OK/click the "Startup" Tab.
