startup programs

[Ed]

recently, while trying to clear out some of the programs that
automatically start on bootup, I went to regedit and deleted the
programs under startup. Now when I go to start, all programs, it only
shows a two icons, instead of the two dozen or so I had.

I didnt intend to clear them from the start menu, I just didnt want to
run them at startup.

Can anyone advise me how to get them back at the all programs prompt?
