Startup programs in system tray (how to)

Hi:

I have a couple of programs that I wish to start up automatically when
I log on, and have them appear in the system tray (at the right hand
side bottom of the screen). I presently have them set to open in the
"minimize" bar (center bottom of the screen).

How do I open programs and tuck them in the system tray, please.

I am using windows XP sp3

Thanks in advance

Thanks for the reply, however if I just drag and drop they open full
blown in the main window. Whats the trick to getting them to open in
the systems window( running in background)?

"How do I get a program to open, at start-up, in the system tray?"

That's up to the programmer.
If an application has a "Start with Windows" feature then it will have a system tray icon.
They will usually have a unique string, like /min or /startup.
