Hi, I have recently been having trouble when starting up my PC. 9 times out
of 10, the first attempt I make to turn on the tower results in a totally
blank monitor or the computer freezing when windows XP is on the loading
screen (with the little blue bar scrolling across below the XP logo). It has
only done this for the past 2-3 weeks and I have had no problems like this at
all in the 3yrs I have owned the PC. In addition to this issue there are also
some kind of grinding noises coming from inside the computer on startup. On a
2nd attempt to start the computer, everything runs smoothly, although I am
starting to get an occasional high pitched squeaking noise!
Can anybody shed any light on these multiple problems?
Thanks for any help
