Computer temporarily freezes and makes beepping noises

Hey guys,

Had a problem with the computer. Lately it likes to
freeze up momentarily (the mouse pointer doesnt work) and
the computer acts like its doing some large process
(yellow light goes on). And it does this while just about
anytime in the day whether its just running one program
or just simply when im browsing the net. THE WEIRD THING
about this, is that it makes "beeping noises" when it
runs normal again. Basically it sounds like "bloop-
bloop...pause....bloop-bloop" This is driving me nuts!
THanks in advance for yor help

Sounds as if it could be overheating. You could have partial fan failure
(complete failure would probably mean a fried cpu). It might be worth
pressing control-alt-delete and checking to see what the CPU usage is, the
next time it happens. If it is a high percentage, you could have cooling
problems.
