Startup Error Message

Hi Folks

I would be grateful for any help with this annoying little problem Everytime
windows starts I get the message...

Windows cannot find c:\windows\system32\scvhost.exe.
can anyone explain how to sort this out please.
also, are there any programs (free or cheap) which explain what windows
error messages mean and how to fix the cause ..................

You would have to determine what is failing on startup. svchost is what goes
online. You connection might take a while to get going. There are a lot of
possibilities.
I would use a bootlog, and perhaps ProcessExplorer, and Autoruns

If you wrote that without errors or typos then you have a virus or worm
of some sorts or leftovers of one. scvhost.exe, is that the exact
spelling? If so you have a pest of sorts! Run an up to date visrus
scan on the machine.

This a virus if you really did write down the correct name, it always
svchost.exe and connected with infamous error High CPU usage 100%.
Download AVG Free Anti-Virus Program and Update it's definitions then run a
scan:
