Startpage Browser - Privacy Protection

Hi there
Anybody got any views on this new Privacy Protection extension for Startpage. Should I download it? Is it safe?
 
Duckduckgo
Although I like the idea of Duckduckgo, Google knows me better than me () so the results are better and I don't have to scroll results to find what I want. So there is the privacy thing, but also there is a productivity swap there.
If you want to be environmental friendly, try Ecosia, that's what we use at work apart of my workstation (again, productivity)
 
I was under the impression that Startpage and Duckduckgo use Google as their basic search engine anyway, with the extra security added in and without Google harvesting your data. That's why I never use Google - I don't want Google Knowing me better than me!
