Either it's lost its desktop.ini file, which specifies the custom icon.
Or the folder no longer has its read-only attribute set, which is what
tells Explorer to process the desktop.ini file.
Desktop.ini is just a text file with a special extension. It normally has
its hidden & system attributes set, so you need to set Explorer's view
options to show hidden files & not hide protected OS files to check for
it. If it doesn't exist, recreate it with the following contents:
[.ShellClassInfo]
LocalizedResourceName=@%SystemRoot%\system32\shell32.dll,-21790
InfoTip=@%SystemRoot%\system32\shell32.dll,-12689
IconResource=%SystemRoot%\system32\imageres.dll,-108
IconFile=%SystemRoot%\system32\shell32.dll
IconIndex=-237
[LocalizedFileNames]
Sample Music.lnk=@%SystemRoot%\system32\shell32.dll,-21806
If the desktop.ini file is present, then you need to set the read-only
attribute on the folder. Open a command prompt window to the parent
directory and type:
attrib +r "<foldername>"<Enter>
Quotes are only neccessary if there are spaces in the folder name.

In my case the Music folder is in its default place, registry points out
to it correctly, and all is fine - EXCEPT the icon!. For some reason, the
icon is a normal folder yellow instead of the Music greenish one with a
music symbol. And that has only happen to one of the users on this same
machine. Other two users and the admin have a proper icon. Do you know
why is this?
Hi Causton,
Did you relocate the Music folder earlier to a removable drive perhaps?
If that's not the case, then fix the shell folder path for "Music" in the
registry.

Or you may use the REG file in this link.
