I would be grateful for some advice as on 2 users accounts on my computer get the message c/windows/net20001/win/logon.exe. As we are fairly new to computers, we're not sure if this is virus. We have Free AVG and Adaware.
Jean.

Untill I have more info ... I would say yes, you are infected.

You need to post me a HijackThis Log, so I can be certain ... I am 99% sure you are infected. :(

Sorry Jean, that is only part of an HJT log ... there is a lot more ... I'll need the rest of it. :D

You need to "highlight" all the text in the log file and then copy & paste it into your next post.

Sorry I thought I'd got it all.
No problem ... :thumb:

Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings, but you are infected with some bad nasties.

Please, this is going to take awhile ... I should have an answer for you in an hour or so ... first I'm gonna need a coffee. ;)

Remember that Hijackthis must be run in an own folder. Only if Hijackthis is run in its own folder will it create backups!

Hello, again ...

Please get HJT to fix (Put a checkmark next to these entries and click Fix Checked) the following ... close all other open programs.

R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page = \blank.htm
Should be fixed

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SystemLoader] C:\WINDOWS\sysldr32.exe
Extremely Nastie ... must be fixed ... Troj/Agobot-A

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [WeatherOnTray] C:\Program Files\HbTools\Bin\4.7.1.0\HbtWeatherOnTray.exe
Nastie ... must be fixed

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SoundMan] SOUNDMAN.EXE
Not dangerous, but unnecessary.

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [LXSUPMON] C:\WINDOWS\System32\LXSUPMON.EXE RUN
Not dangerous, but unnecessary. Lexmark Printer. The printer should work fine without it

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [iTunesHelper] "C:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunesHelper.exe"
Not dangerous, but unnecessary.

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [IgfxTray] C:\WINDOWS\system32\igfxtray.exe
Not dangerous, but unnecessary. Quick access to the control panel via a System Tray icon for graphics based upon the Intel chipsets (ie, i810). These chipsets are often included on motherboards. Available via Start / Settings / Control Panel

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [HbTools] C:\Program Files\HbTools\Bin\4.7.1.0\HbtOEAddOn.exe
Nastie ... Must be fixed! Adware

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Adobe Photo Downloader] "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Album Starter Edition\3.0\Apps\apdproxy.exe"
Not dangerous, but unnecessary. Part of Adobe's Photoshop Album or Photoshop Elements packages - starts each time you connect an external image device to your PC

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Synchronization Manager] %SystemRoot%\system32\mobsync.exe /logon
Not dangerous, but unnecessary.

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QuickTime Task] "C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exe" -atboottime
Not dangerous, but unnecessary. QuickTime

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Firewall Updater] msnupdateit.exe
Extreme Nastie ... Must be fixed! Added by the RBOT-AAQ WORM!

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Instant Messenger] aol.exe
Extreme Nastie ... Must be fixed! Added by the AGOBOT-FN WORM!

O4 - Global Startup: Adobe Reader Speed Launch.lnk = C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 7.0\Reader\reader_sl.exe
Not dangerous, but unnecessary. Speeds up the time it takes to load the Adobe Reader application. Your choice but I would uninstall it and install Foxit reader instead.

O4 - Global Startup: Service Manager.lnk = C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\80\Tools\Binn\sqlmangr.exe
Not dangerous, but unnecessary. SQL Server Service Manager - provides tray access to SQL server, the server agent and MSDTC. Available via Start / Programs

O4 - Global Startup: WinZip Quick Pick.lnk = C:\Program Files\WinZip\WZQKPICK.EXE
Not dangerous, but unnecessary. Added with WinZip version 8.1. "The new WinZip Quick Pick taskbar tray icon gives you instant access to WinZip and your Zip files. Just left click the icon to open WinZip, or right click it to instantly reopen recently used Zip files, access your Favorite Zip Folders, open WinZip Help, or start WinZip itself.". You can right-click and close it - choosing to not re-load it at start-up

That may be due to the fact the both Troj/Agobot-A and AGOBOT-FN WORM! are reappearing.

HJT is not an anti-nastie cleanup tool as are antivirus scanners ... even then, some cannot get rid of some Worms & Trojans by themselves and need help.

Try This disinfector

Failing that try several of these Online-Scanner

Your last resort may be to clean reinstall Windows. :(
