Starting PDF Reader launches 5.0 Messenger Installer

Hello,

I recently installed MSN Messenger 6.1 (I already had
Windows messenger 5.0 on my machine - Mistake!) and then
realized I had two. I uninstalled both and then re-
installed MSN 6.1.
My only complaint is that when I try to launch Acrobat
Reader the Windows installer is triggered and Windows
Messenger 5.0 begins to install. I've tried removing the
reader and re-installing minimal version without success.
This must be a registry thing...
Anyone been there???

Greetings Rob,

In order to fix this, a simple
reinstallation of Windows Messenger 5.0 usually can correct the problem. To do so, first
make sure that Windows Messenger is shut down (right-click its icon in the notification
area/system tray, and choose Exit), then click Start, then Run, and type in the following:
msiexec /x {4A432C6C-1E20-4266-95D1-5782349C6C62}
then click OK, and choose Yes to uninstall the product.
