starting my modem

G

giesetom

IN previous Windows versions, it was possible to configure
when your modem dials out, or even to initiate the dial
out sequence. I can not find where to do that in XP. How
do I start my modem? I start explorer, and sometimes it
starts automatically, others it tells me I am offline.
Same with Outlook. I want an icon that tells my computer
to dial out, like dial-up services used to have, or to set
my computer to dialout automatically every time I start
explorer or outlook, and I can't find where to do that.
Please help!

Try this..go to Tools in your IE page - select Internet
options - Connections & check the box beside - Dial
whwnever a network connection is not present.
