The server version has KDE

Any ideas on how I can make this work???

That page refers to a 'beta 2' version, so problems are only to be
expected. Have you tried <http://linux.lorma.edu/forum/> to see if anyone
else has a similar problem and possibly a 'fix'?

It's possible that your particular hardware has not been successfuly
recognised or configured by the installation procedure.

That particular Lorma distro seems to be based on Slackware; my own
experience of Slackware is that it is not suitable for a newbie who 'just
wants to get started'. I don't know what Lorma may have done to change
that.

A clue. You downloaded the *SERVER* version. Server versions don't
normally come with any sort of GUI - that's why they are *SERVER*
versions. You will need to download and install KDE in order to use it.
