starting Internet Explorer from Windows commandline

I've been trawling through lots of pages trying to find out what
options I can pass to IE from the command line. I think I originally
saw how to do this on PCmag.com but could not find it earlier. And I
didn't see it on the Microsoft site either.

What was possible to do from the command was to
specify a URL (simple; iexplore http://www.microsoft.com/
size a the window
There were other options but I cannot recall them at the moment.
