starting in safe mode

a friends pc is always starting in safe mode on boot up,any suggestions on
what could be causing this
 
Start > Run and type in "msconfig" without the quotes. Go to "boot.ini"
tab and see it "/safeboot" is checked. If so, uncheck it and restart,
