How do I start a News Account in Outlook please?
All I have is Mail, and there is no option of News under Go, which Help
indicates there should be.
Thank you
Tricia

Since Microsoft Outlook does not include a Newsreader, you will have to use
either Outlook Express as your newsreader, or one of the many third-party
newsreaders.

To create a new News account in Outlook Express:
1) Click on "Tools" in the Menu Bar
2) Click on "Accounts"
3) Click on the "Add" button on the right-hand side
4) Choose "News" from the popup menu
5) Follow the steps in the Wizard to complete addition of a news account
6) Download newsgroups
7) Subscribe to the newsgroups of your choice

If you desire to use Outlook Express only as a newsreader, create a shortcut
with "C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\msimn.exe" as the Target, and with
the switch "/newsonly" (or "/outnews") added to the end. While the string
containing the command used to start Outlook Express must be in quote marks,
the switch on the end must not.

If you want to try a third-party newsreader, there are links to many here:

I like and use MicroPlanet Gravity (SuperGravity 2.6) from time to time. It
is highly configurable and has many options for the reading, storing, and
handling of Usenet news articles. Get it here:

*** NOTE ***
While the internal view of the newsreader will appear to be "Outlook
Newsreader" if you use the switch "/outnews", I assure you, the engine used
for news-handling is still Outlook Express, not Microsoft Office Outlook.
