Started Complete restore??

I went to restore my computer completly with the cds but half way through and it occured a problem but it had already deleted my system. Couldnt get the cd to work so now ive put the operating system cdin and installed windows xp back on only to discover i have no sound card installed and god knows what else. So how do i go about installing my sound card again??
 
Go to; Start>Run> type in dxdiag and look in the sound tab to determine
the maker of the sound card. Go to their site, and download the XP drivers.
