When I boot into my PC, under my login name it says 1 unread message. When I
move cursor on that it says my hotmail email address has 1 unread message. I
have read all the messages in my hotmail account. Why is it still telling me
that I have 1 unread message? How do I remove that?

Use Tweak UI (available from Microsoft). In the left column, select "Logon"
and expand it. Then select "Unread Mail" and uncheck "Show unread mail on
Welcome screen"

Tweakui for WinXP: Ver. 2.10 requires WinXP SP1 and later
