Hi

A friend of mine tried connecting to the internet but found that they needed
a driver for modem as the one installed did not work. WE went on the net for
a search and found one and this worked fine until the machine was rebooted.
Windows comes up with the option to start in safe mode, but when this option
is selected the machine crashes. Any ideas on how to get in and remove the
driver?

That's the problem, the system is hanging in safe mode and so we can't do
anything.

You could try reverting it back to last known good configuration which
should be a choice in the menu with safe mode and that should take it to
before you installed the driver if you didn't make a restore point then
