I was advised to remove a "Vtruck.exe" from my computer
by my IPS, Sympatico, when it was causing me problems. As
could be expected, Windows XP is still calling for it on
start-up and displays an error message when it can't find
it. I have found "EXE NAME="Vtruck.exe" "in
the "appcompat" file under 11 "WERxx" directories under
\WINDOWS\Temp\. Each has a further extension
of ".Tmp.dir00". Are these files comparable to the
AUTOEXEC.BAT of days past and how do I get rid of these
calls to get rid of the annoying error messages.

To eliminate the Virtual Truck error follow these steps:

1. Exit ~ Quit the installer:

Right click on the ‘Start’ button
Select Explore (Windows XP you may have to select Explore all Users)
Double click the ‘Programmes’ folder
Double click the ‘Startup’ folder
Remove "VTAgentReboot.exe" (Right click and Delete)

I hope the above answers your query, however, should you need furthe
assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us again.

Regards

Borisluc
