start up disk

Hi all,
Can anyone tell me how to make a start up disk with XP operating system?

Hi John,

You can simply boot the CD and run the Recovery Console for emergency
repairs:

However, if you need to make a dos boot floppy for flashing operations or
the like, simply right-click the A drive and choose format. Creating one of
these is among the options.

If your system does not support booting from a CD, then you can create
system boot floppy sets from the downloads here:

Home edition:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/release.asp?ReleaseID=33290

Professional edition:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/release.asp?ReleaseID=33291
