I can't find out how to make a windows start up disc for win XP as there was
withwin 9x. does such a thing exist and if so how do I make one?

Hi

The XP CD is bootable. You may have alter the disk bootup sequence - have a look in the manual for your motherboard - it will tell you there how to change the boot-up sequence.

Greetings --

There's normally no need for an ERD (Emergency Rescue Disk) with
WinXP. The WinXP installation CD is bootable, and provides access to
the Recovery Console.
