start menu

My three year old was playing on the computer, and started pushing bottoms on
the keyboard. Since then I have deen unable to use the start menu and
taskbar. I mean it is not even on the screen. there is nothing there but the
desktop picture. The only way I've being able do anything is with the task
manager. When I go to the start menu on the control panel, I double click and
nothing happens. It is almost like it is being block. Can someone please help
me
