My start menu is now at the top of the screen. I know
this is basic computer 101 stuff, but until you know how
to get it back to the bottom, its a offbalance experience!
can anyone help (windows 2000)

The task bar, the thing that contains the Start button, your applications,
quick launch type of things, system tray, etc. can be on any of the four
sides of your monitor. (Five if you have one of those pentagonal monitors
and Windows 2000 Pentagon.) To move it to the place of your choice, click
onto a blank spot on the taskbar, such as where an application button would
appear if an application were open, hold the mouse button down, and drag the
mouse to the edge of the screen of your preference.
