Start menu - Run - "clear history" question

I am unable to clear the URL history from the RUN command. When using the
normal clearing procedure, programs, files, etc. all clear leaving the URL
history intact and the list is getting very long.

I was unable to locate this problem on the newly re-formatted MS Knowledge
Base and would appreciate any help. Thanks.

The RUN drop-down entries (as you type) comes from two places:

RunMRU
Clearing the Recent documents history will empty this list
Index.dat
To prevent the drop-down Uncheck Auto-complete for Web addresses (in IE Options, Content tab)
