Start Menu Right Pane

Hey,
I was recently copying some files when i accidentally moved my Documents
folder under "/username/Documents" to a random location. Since then, when I
click on the start menu, the right pane shows my username, Desktop (which
should be documents instead), Pictures, and Music. I've tried changing the
registry entries as suggested in another discussion, with no success. It
showed Documents again, but when I clicked it, the link opened my Desktop
folder instead. Then it changes the link on the right pane back to Desktops
altogether again.

Any solutions? Thanks a lot.

What registry edit did you perform?

[HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders]

Value Name: Personal
Type: REG_EXPAND_SZ
Data: %USERPROFILE%\Documents

Yes that's the one I performed. Even with the registry changed it still
didn't fix it.

When the folder opens, click once in the breadcrumbs bar to verify the path
of the folder -- perhaps the Documents folder somehow got the desktop.ini
file from the Desktop & is displaying that name.

What is the data found under:

[HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell
Folders\Desktop]?

You don't have two different entries pointing to the same folder, do you?

What folder opens when you use the command:
shell:personal
