My music icon does not open the music folder. Right clicking on the music
icon and selecting properties shows that there is nothing. Opening the start
menu properties shows that there is no listing for music to select also. How
can I fix this?

Try pointing back to the User directory for Music under your Accounts
folder.
Properties > Location (tab) C:\Users\your name\Music

It won't allow me to do anything. Right clicking the icon on the start menu
does not give me the ability to edit.

Uncheck the Read-only attribute under General tab and try again.

See:

Nothing happens when you click on a shell folder link in the Windows Vista Start menu:

Thanks, that was the solution. Once I restarted the problem was fixed.
