start menu problem

I installed SP1 to my XP and in my start menu is truncated, is cut in 2/3 of
content.
I use Not-classic menu without without scrolling checked in configuration
(with scrolling checked it scrolls ok).

could you help me please ?

Scroll Programs
[Specifies whether to display the items on the Programs menu as one long
scrolling menu or as horizontal pages. Depending on your screen resolution,
if you have more than 29 or 38 programs installed, and you select to have
one long scrolling menu, you can access the programs you don’t see
by clicking the arrow at each end of the list of programs.]

I had to throw away some items that appeared completely spontaneously, after
SP1 added, at the beginning of the list of all programs. They were progs I
had in "favorite" part of start menu list before SP1 added. They were
dubbled to the beginning of the expanding list of all progs.
It seems to be ok now.
