Start Menu Orb Flickers with Windows Home Server Console

Ever since installing Windows Home Server Console on my Vista Home Premium
machine, the Start menu orb flickers on and off randomly. I know it's a
problem with the WHS Console since it goes away after I kill the process in
Task Manager. Anyone else with this problem?

No, I don't have that problem with Home Server Connector on my VHP.
You might try removing and reinstalling the Connector software.

I don't use Windows Home Server (I have Windows Server 2003), but I have
noticed several people that have this issue in these newsgroups. It is a
known problem.

I suggest you search Google Groups with some relevant search terms, as
surely an answer is out there.

@Dave
Strange- I had it happen on my original install of Vista and then again when
I reinstalled after getting a new hard drive. I even tested the release
candidate of SP1 and it still flickered. I'll try to reinstall the Console
when I get home from work today.

I'll give it a go and see if I can find anything, but doesn't going to a
Google Group kind of defeat the purpose of Vista Communities? :)

Google Groups archives all the Microsoft newsgroups. I do not think the
Communities web interface for the groups even carries all the groups, and
probably does not archive them either.

Anyway, I found the post that I remembered.
