Start Menu Issues

For some reason the XP start menu seems incapable of
remembering my default browser. Every time I start windows
it reverts back to Internet Explorer. Is this a problem
with XP itself (remembering settings and whatnot) or is it
Internet Explorer making itself the default browser
somehow. In either case could you tell me how to fix it?

Rightclick IE > Properties > Programs tab now reset to

your specifications > Apply > OK
