Start delay

Suddenly IE has begun saying "detecting Proxy Settings" for about 15 to 20
seconds before displaying my home page. It used to come up almost
instantaeously. Been running SP2 for quite a while before this happened. IE
on another HDD works as normal. Firefox also comes up quickly. Any hints
greatly appreciated.

Tools/Internet Options/Connections/LAN settings. All three checkboxes should be
cleared.
