Hi All,

Repost, soz, I used the exact same Subject line as someone else and my
post got put in the wrong place...

You know in Win2K and WinME where Windows "Hides" the entries in the
StartBar that are not used very often ??

Can WinXP do this for you, since moving this is about the only thing I
have missed about 2K...

Many Thanks,
Itsmee.

XP hides the unused entries on my computer. There is a << entry hides
unused icons.

Itsmee,

* Click Start > Settings > Taskbar & Start Menu
* Click the Taskbar tab > check 'Hide inactive icons, OK

You can also:
* Click Start > Settings > Taskbar & Start Menu
* Click the Start Menu tab
* If you are using the 'Classic Start Menu', click 'Customize'
* check 'Use Personalized Menus', OK > OK
* If you are using the 'Start Menu', click 'Customize'
* In the 'General' tab, under the heading 'Programs',
select the number of programs you only want listed in
the 'Start Menu >Programs' folder, OK > OK
