Standy by is "grayed-out"

I recently reinstalled XP pro on my Toshiba Satellite. When I try to
go to standby that option is grayed out. I searched but couldn't find
anything to help me. Any ideas on what I can do?

You need to download and install the Windows XP
video adapter drivers available from the Toshiba
product support web site.
