STANDBY SYSTEM FAILED

What device you have attached to that port?
This issue can occur if you have Quicken installed. This iss­ue is
caused by the unsigned mrtrate.sys driver installed by­ Quicken.

I removed the Quicken program but it did not help.
I had the Quicken before and the standby was working fine. The standby
stopped working recently.
I have windows XP, compaq presario computer. DSL connection.
Any other reason it doesn't work?

This is the solution

You might be using internet through cable or dsl on ethernet connection.
Goto Control Panel -> System -> hardware -> Device manager.

In the Device Manager window, bring up the properties window of your network
adapter and goto the power management tab. You will see two options:
Allow this computer...
Allow this device to bring the computer out of standby

Uncheck both of them
This will help.
