standby mode

When i put PC in standby mode I get a message to check
video cable and then it stays in standby for a short
time. Any suggestion. Iam a new xp user on a new system.

Hi Kelly,

First thing is to check with the system manufacturer for an updated video
driver. Second would be to reseat the cable and make sure it is firmly
attached on both ends. It sounds like a detection issue, and it could be
hardware or software. If it is not easily resolved, use the warranty on your
new system and have them fix or replace it without delay. This is not
something you should have to deal with on a new system.
