Standby "Hangs"

New pc Dell Dimension 5000. Win SP2. PC would not come out of standby using
mouse or keyboard - had to power off and restart.Went to
System/Hardware/Device Manager/Keyboard and Mice / Power Management and
checked "allow this device to bring the computer out of standby"on both. Now
when I go Start /Turn off computer/Standby , the computer "hangs". Any
suggestions? Thanks, Seamus Halford.

If you have a USB mouse, you may need to disable "power management" for the
usb hub.
